I'm Feeling Better Today

The air is cooler. Those really hot days seem to be gone, at least for a few days. I heard it thundering last night as I lay in bed reading, but I don’t think we got any rain, which we definitely NEED. I’m headed out for the chiropractor this afternoon. My back was giving me a fit after all that I did this week-end. You may have read my last post, about all the mess in my living room. The sky is blue with a few puffy white clouds and I’m hoping to run a few errands while I’m out and about. I can’t believe that July is almost over. I do look forward to the Fall season and my annual trip to Virginia Beach coming up in October. What’s happening in your part of the world?

@marlina Yeah, we needed it! It only rained for about 20 minutes but something is better than nothing.

Not much happening here. We went out and bought a little grandson and granddaughter a birthday gift and I picked up a new laundry basket. Sorry about your back. Hope you found relief.

My back feels better now that I got the adjustment. It really helps to go to the chiropractor.

@allen0187 Have you ever been to a chiropractor? A chiropractor "adjusts" the spine by pressing on each vertebrate. If a vertebrate is out of alignment it can affect the nerves that are near it and cause pain to radiate to your back, legs or other parts of your body. Once your spine is aligned properly; the pain goes away. A person can cause the spine to go out of alignment by lifting heavy items or twisting or bending. Older persons usually have more problems with this than do younger people, because their bones are more fragile, but everyone, young or old, can cause their spine to go out of alignment.

It's been raining on and off every day for about a week down here now... At least it is cooler where you are... That's a relief after some scorching days...

@IreneVincent Alice Springs is a remote town in Northern Territory... I'm in one of the Eastern states... Near Sydney...

@sishy7 Yes, I located Alice Springs on the map. I knew that it was a remote town. I've actually taken the time to really study the map of Australia and read a lot about your country. I find it very fascinating. I would like to visit the Sydney area also. I really don't ever expect to be able to go to Australia, but have always wanted to go. I have done quite a bit of traveling (25 different countries and 44 U.S. states including Alaska and Hawaii)

What part of Australia do you live in? I've always wanted to visit Australia. I read the book "A Town Like Alice" and watched the mini-series a few years ago. I've always wanted to visit Alice Springs. Since one of my names is Alice, I was fascinated with the story. I know quite a bit about Australia, because I have done some research and seen a few documentaries.

I have been going to this chiropractor for several years now and he is excellent. I feel better immediately after an adjustment. I overdid it last weekend, trying to get things organized for the yard sale. My back was really hurting but he fixed it. The problem is, that my old bones won't stay in the right alignment, so I have to keep going back.

The sky is blue this morning. I have a couple errands to run, so I hope its not going to be a really hot day. The car gets very hot sitting in the sun. The A/C barely has time to cool the car when I stop and go into the Post Office and come out again. Then, move on to the next stop. I try to park in the shade if possible but there usually isn't any shade in the parking lots.
