I Report Plagiarists And Spammers Because I'm Divorced

You don't see a connection between the two facts? I don't, either. So we're already two. Together with my husband of 38 years we are even a threesome.
A member who behaved in a way that induced me to report him to admin, sent me this private message, "Cause of you i got block you are mean lady and i think u must have devorced."
I find this interesting from a psychological point of view. So I report someone who violates the Guideline rules because I'm sexually frustrated?
I'll tell you what: The reasons why I report are the following:
1) The pay on this site is rather meagre. I think we can all agree on that. The money there is should be shared among the honest members who put fingers to keyboard and create original content consisting of more than half a line on an intellectual level that doesn't insult the readers' intelligence.
2) It's a challenge. You think you can be smarter than me and get away with a plagiarised text you found on an obscure site nobody else has ever heard of? Think again!
Just wait and see. I'll sniff you out. My plagiariser detector works well. Nearly every day I find someone. If you're interested in what makes me suspicious, you can read it here:
Posts on the topic of plagiarism are a necessary evil. Sadly, they'll never become superfluous. I've written this text a) as a reminder for oldies not to...

Wow! That is just crazy to think you must be divorced to block someone...
It's a good thing you are doing reporting spammers or those that plagiarize. People should be writing their own discussions and not copying someone else's, or posting something copied from the web. But being totally original is hard. For example, many people post discussions about their mylot earnings... That is not being that original necessarily. But people still do it.

And they misspelled "devorced."

LOL! Anybody who has the time/energy/spite to report a plagiarism MUST be divorced! That logic is irrefutable!
I must admit though that I have copied and pasted items here in the past that can also be found in nearly verbatim form elsewhere online. The fact that *I* am the one who wrote and posted the other original content would technically clear me from plagiarism, but would it keep me safe from your "divorcee enhanced" sniffer?

Free speech and that is what the lady was told. By the way divorced persons appear bitter and i could have said that to her.

Presumably you could tell he didn't write the post himself because it had correct spelling and grammar?!
(I'm just off to listen to that Tammy Wynette classic 'D-E-V-O-R-C-E').

Lol! You tell em! Me, I just wanna interact and help people.... but on another note though, with the printed word being as old as it is, anything and I mean anything can be plagiarized. I have left many a site due to administration being "too picky" and what a shock, no one writes for them, and thier business fails, and no longer in existence. Just be careful.

Yeah, I agree, the ex-member went pretty overboard. I hope we'll never see that person again. Writing something like that is actually way too shallow and unthinkable. Maybe he/she didn't have sound reasoning because of which such derogatory words were used. And they probably lacked intelligence that they copied material, or they were way too lethargic to do any kind of hardwork at all. Those kind of people don't deserve to be in MyLot!
You did the right thing reporting him/her.

Well no wonder he plagiarised with that standard of English. Oh dear you mean frustrated lady! I think I can confidently say you won't be losing any sleep over the little cheat!

Gosh, if you ever suspect me of plagiarism can you let me know before reporting me?! I have my own blogging site, and nobody reads it. I have been known to occasionally regurgitate bits - very rarely, mind you, maybe once - of my writing on here. I know it's frowned upon, but how else can I share my words of non-wisdom!!

I'm not sure about using texts from one's own blogging site. You could ask admin @GoAskAlex.
The plagiarists I'm talking about here take texts from other people's sites or from general sites they find on the net.

That's hilarious. I'm sure it's meant to be an insult or something.
But yes, funny when people won't take responsibility for *their own* actions.
I agree with you totally.
I haven't actually seen many posts go against the rules here so I am very impressed. Every once in awhile someone will post something really adult (I saw that once), or something that was like, 3 words long... (uhh, yeah.), and once I saw posted a link for a different site....
but that's only, like, 3 times in almost a year. So way to go ! Keep reporting and keep MyLot clean :-)
