How to Keep Puddy Tat Amused on a Dreary Day

It was a day to turn off the a/c and click on the gas fireplace in Southern Connecticut. It poured all morning and was quite chilly. I couldn't walk outside, nor could Doodles.
He likes to be amused between naps. I'd have a meowing cat on my hands otherwise. So this is how he was kept entertained.
1. He was allowed to peek out the door several times to see how nasty it was, followed by treats each time.
2. He played with a blue cat spring toy, but I had to entice him by tossing it over and over again.
3. He was allowed off his blue blanket to lie on the leather sofa, long claws and all, to watch and cackle at a baby bird.
4. Once the sun peeked out, he was allowed outside for three long walks, followed by more treats.
And you wonder why I can't catch up on my notifications!

Wow,,Doodles is even more spoiled than my Little Prince Milo! I am sure going outside felt good for both of you.

@LadyDuck Willy is adorable and I don't blame you for stopping your weeding to play with him. He seems to love you so much!!!!
I just returned from playing with Doodles. My son dropped off a new outdoor toy for him. It's a plastic yellow fish with red feathers on a lead. I pulled it through the grass and Doodles jumped on it, rolled over, rolled down an incline, and chased his tale. It was so funny!!!! He makes me laugh so hard. It's good for the soul.

We got a parrot a few weeks back I guess about a month now actually. Anyway the only time it is quiet and not squawking extremely loud is when it is sitting on my shoulder. It is hard to get anything done as much attention as he demands.

looking at that picture i feel like i'm right there with doodles, waiting for the rain to stop. it's so funny watching and listening when cats chatter at birds.

My mother had bought a laser and Lily has been loving it. It's been hot here and she has been meowing to go outside. I let her out a short while.
