Why Yes! It Was 1 am

Around 1 am Tony woke, like usual, and I was still up. He decided that there was nothing in the house he wanted to eat so he asked the question that I don`t like to hear at 1 am, What is still open? I am hungry and I want something. I named off Waffle House, McDonald`s and Taco Bell. Yes he picked the place that is further away, Taco Bell. I hit the interstate and since it was 1 am not to many people were out and I noticed the local bars were still packed so that was also good for me. I was speeding, yes, and I made it there in record time. I did the round trip, wait in the line at the drive thur, all in just 45 minutes., the drive alone usually takes 1 hour. Tony said when I pulled into the driveway, "that did not take to long." I replied " "nope, not when you drive 80 mph." Then he said " It didnt feel like we were going that fast." I have not done a late night run for food in years, I am not fond of it either. If he was not a cancer patient I would not have went. Do you go out for food in the middle of the night?

When we lived in Colorado we woe up at three AM and decided to go to Walmart. They have turkey for 19 cents a pound which was really cheap. When we ot home our three youngest were awake and wanted turkey in the middle of the night. So we fixed it with mashed potatoes and ate turkey.

8 p.m. is usually the latest, and 22 miles would be the distance. Sonic Milkshakes are half price after 8 pm

Is this a story or is this true. It's very good if it's a story, and no, I don't go out at 1 AM. I'm asleep.

In the 80's, I did all the time. Unfortunately, in Manitou, we only have one place open 24 hours. We go once in awhile, but it's really not that good.

Oh dear. I am usually too lazy to go out for food if I'm in already. Though if I'm out late and on my way back home - then sometimes I stop through a drive through like Taco Bell. That is nice of you - and good that he has an appetite

In our younger days, Hubby and I would do that on a rare occasion . . . but that would actually be our dinner. We would be out all day and come back to an evening nap . . . then wake up super late to discover we hadn't had our dinner yet. At that point/time, it was easier to go on a food run rather than cook up something.

With all the food you have in that house he had to go out to eat at that hour? I love food, but that's no time to go out and eat.
