Record breaking temperatures have arrived for today and the next two, then it will "cool down" to the mid-nineties to finish out the week. We will be in the 104 or higher range these three days. The all time high temp record here was 108 back in 1981. We may even surpass that.
I know that there is crazy weather all over the world right now, but our leaders deny any long lasting climate change is taking place, despite the opinions of leading scientists.
So, is weather normal where you are or a little on the strange side?

We have smoke in the air now too, so it is worse (forest fires in the mountains).

I think ours is about as usual, but I agree the powers that be should be working toward delaying climate change. It's ridiculous to deny it.Hope you get respite from the heat.108 is terribly hot. We've hit a 100 a few times this summer.

Sure is crazy weather. Only the 2nd day of the month and we are in triple digits. Pretty normal for this time of year.

@JamesHxstatic Tomorrow night (Saturday) the rain will come and by Monday we should be back to our average summer temperature, in the 80s.

It has been pretty decent considering what is happening in some places! But, it again seems we are having an early fall as certain trees that are not supposed to be dropping leaves just are!

Well I suggest you and your wife take it easy and just stay inside and cool off until the heat passes. We to have crazy weather. In July it was running hot and cool and rainy and sunny. Hubby wound up with pneumonia and is till recuperating. He was hoping to get out in the garden for a bit this week but now we have torrential rains again and it looks like he will have to recuperate inside until the rain passes.

It's been a strange spring and summer so far and yes, it's hot, hot, hot here today. We actually had a bad thunderstorm earlier which knocked the power out for awhile

For some reason it was really really hot and humid for a week, and the past two days have been cool and a bit of rain. I am enjoying the cool.

Our summer has has fewer really hot days than last year. We've also had rain in a timely manner.....hubby was looking forward to the month it's usually dry enough that he doesn't spend all of his spare time on the mower.

To have hot August here is normal. And the weather is hot. Sometimes the weather here in different seasons is a little on the strange side. But not permanently. August sometimes is a little on the strange side - higher temps than previous years.
