What happens when you Google your name?

Have you ever googled your name by which you write on MyLot or other places? What happens? Are you surprised by anything that appears there?
I was surprised to find that I have an article on expertscolumn with 25,000 views and another one with 18,000 views. Anybody still write there? Do they still pay?

When I do it, on the fist search page I get everything about Nemo the fish.

It's interesting to see what our footprint is online and if anything appears that we don't want there we can try to get rid of it.

It's fun to see that many others have the same name. I even tried to contact some on Facebook to see if we were related but we were not.

I have done it and it shows sites I belong to. Have you ever searched for other people who have your same name on Facebook? It amazed me that there is another woman on Facebook who has my exact same name.

I've searched my real name and of Facebook there are about a dozen people with the exact same name.

I never heard of them.
I am now showing up with the blogger, each new one I write but one site had all my stuff out there and I contacted them and told them to take it down! They did.

It was a popular place until they closed down. They really made us dream as they had big plans that never materialized but many made quite a bit of money there.
Yes, some sites are very accommodating.

I'm going to try that. When I search people look up all my relatives come up and what they know of my former addresses. If you keep looking you can find out anything on anybody for free. That's not always good, even if it's public records.
