Maybe the Boyfriend doesn't understand what "cool off means

Philippines

This boy proposed to his girl friend and tested her and pretended to have a cool off. Girl probably thinks they break up so she goes on dating guys using his money. When He found out about this through his friend about her other facebook account, he beats her senseless. Well, in my opinion, she failed the test but He shouldn't have beat her up. Instead he could have just been angry and let her go. So much for that engagement ring he work hard saving.
A man planning to propose to his girlfriend of 2 years decided to make a 'relationship test' to prove that they are really meant for each other and that his girlfriend truly loves him but

It worked out for the best - otherwise she would have married the bully and face many more beatings in married life. When men already show that tendency it won't take much to set them off.

Well, they are better off not having each other @Kandae11 but it was good they made the test.

@Letranknight2015 Yes it was - because he didn't tell her it was over, therefore she should have waited awhile before running off here and there.

@Kandae11 I guess she thought she could date others..or maybe it was the excuse she's been waiting for.

Yikes! I guess this was not only a test for her, but a test for him . . . he obviously cannot control his anger. Beating is just plain wrong! He also failed the test!

Both of them failed actually @much2say but then there was part of the story that she said he has done the beating before so it was not to be.

There's a lot of weird things going on these days. Testing a relationship? Obviously, there's trust issue going on here @Letranknight2015.

If there is proposal, and acceptance of proposal, it is commitment of sorts. It does not create rights to property or anything. But it does create rights to remain loyal. Her going out on dating with somebody else without the knowledge of her boyfriend is wrong. She knew it was not over between them. Him beating her was wrong because that right nobody has. You are right he should have left her. She also is better off because she knows what sort of guy he can be.

Maybe the girl was never committed after all @vandana7 we never know but maybe she's been dating guys this whole time..And for some reason the testing busted her out. Well, he couldn't control himself he love the girl.

I agree with you. While I don't think "testing" her by pretend breaking up was the best thing to do, it wasn't right of her to date others without being sure they were over - or to use his money to do so. I 100% agree - beating her was wrong. You should never feel like you have to physically cause harm to another person, unless there are extenuating circumstances such as you are protecting yourself or someone else. It is best they are not with each other.

Well, that's probably why some called it crime of passion @FayeHazel I guess he didn't expect for her to date other people. I guess they weren't clear with the rules themselves. At least now they know when they tested each other.

Ouch! Read, and thought both were not nice people. Regardless, violence is a bad thing.

Yes, hitting a girl was a bad thing @YrNemo but at least they tested themselves and knew right there that they're not meant for each other.
