Donating and doing nice things for others can give a person a very good feeling. I feel good when I am selling and like a friend's cat was sick and I had to give her something for the cat and she wanted to pay and I told her I want to do this. Someone came in that I did not know and they bought something and it turned out to be the man's birthday and I gave him something and would not take money. It feels good to do something nice for someone.

We do the same, just need daughter to part more easily with stuff, she is an emotional keeper. She remembers who gave her what and then doesn't want to part with it. My fall down is books. I'm working on that. lol

That's a very nice gesture. Now we celebrate our children s birthdays by distributing sweets and fruits to the children in an orphanage here.

I do the same but not necessarily to the charity agency. In our neighborhood, we know that some are in need of help. I may give used clothes or even new clothes and some money set aside for this purpose.

I like to donate my unused items to. We donated a lot of items before we moved.

That's a really nice activity with your family. For years my mom and I donates food and some clothing to devastated areas usually when a big storm hits the country. When I was in college I did some community service to an orphanage. It was fun interacting with them. I wish I could go back.
