The girl who talked her boyfriend into suicide

I'm sure all of us have heard this story, a girl continue to pressure her boyfriend into suicide, even brought it up randomly shown in the text messages before he killed himself. I've seen plenty of people debating if her sentence of 15 months is enough or not. I've seen some say that it's enough because she didn't actually kill him and people are told to kill themselves all the time but don't. I've seen other people say it's not enough because it's her fault. I believe that 15 months isn't enough after reading the text messages, anytime he didn't do it she would get angry at him and always bring the conversation back to it, at the end she even sent a last text asking if he deleted the messages. She gave him ways to do it and anytime he worried about his family she would just say they'll get over it. She even went as far as making him promise to do it then said he can't break a promise. She gave him ways to do it, pressured him into it, and got angry til he did it. I don't think 15 months is enough punishment for all that. What do you think?

I think she got off lightly. I think 10 years in prison would give her plenty of time to think about the lives she destroyed with her actions. Some say she won't serve any jail time.

I heard that she wouldn't serve any either. It's disgusting people can do these things and not be punished for it

It's definitely not enough, and I can't understand how people think it is. What if it was your child ?

Exactly! I legit know someone who thinks the fact that the public knows and thinks she's guilty is enough

@skydream not even close to being enough. But by that.. Okay so because we know someone raped or murders someone.. they dont need to be charged because we know about it? Ugh.

She deserves to be in jail, ONLY LONGER than that she was sentence to. I bet she had no regrets about and then gets away with it after 15 months. Such a monster.

15 months is a slap on the wrist. As a Wordgirl fan, anyone knows that words do have power to help or harm someone in need.

I agree it's a slap on the wrist. It's unfortunate people use freedom of speech to be hateful

I really don't think it's enough. She really pressured him into killing himself. I think she definitely deserves a harsher sentence.

I think she got away with murder. 15 months is only a slap on the wrist.
