Guess what I did!

I’ve had fun today. But a bit of back story first. About ten years ago we visited the Vienne region in France and stayed in Availles Limouzine at a renovated mill which belongs to an acquaintance of Vince’s. Two years ago we came here again in our motor-home and now we’re back for a third time. It’s almost like coming home. Today, on our way to Availles Limouzine, we went to Isle-Jourdain, where there is a lovely old viaduct which crosses the valley. A great place to get some nice photos. This time they were also doing bungee jumping off the bridge and zip-lining across the river and under the viaduct to the other side. If you look carefully at the photo you might see someone in a pink top seemingly suspended in mid-air. That’s me! It was a great thrill. Once I landed over the other side, I climbed some steps almost to the top of the viaduct and zip-lined a shorter distance back across the river. So tonight, I’m quite proud of me. I didn’t think I was nervous but my legs were like jelly when I landed the first time.

I do not see a photograph, but I am proud of you for your adventure! I've been ziplining twice now, and once I get up there then I'm okay. It's the climbing up to the heights that bugs me! Update: I see it now!

We had to climb up a very rudimentary wire-rope ladder to get to the platform and that was scarier than the zip-lining.

@JudyEv I agree! The first time I went was an obstacle course at this place called Northwest Trek. There were so many things that I did that scared the hell out of me! The second time I went it was about climbing on things and up to platforms. I am so afraid of heights, so it takes me longer than everybody else but I did it.

Way to go. I would like to try zip lining sometime. Bungee jumping not so much. My legs would be like jelly as well.

I wouldn't bungee jump. Maybe when I was younger but certainly not now.

That's a great shot, too bad we can't see the look on your face though Well, I'm glad you had so much fun. Did Vince opt out of that experience?

Vince could have done it but doesn't really like heights. Here's one of my face. Do you think I'm enjoying it? I choose this photo to show the lovely bridge and the river below.

@rebelann I said to Vince that I hadn't realised I was so grey but he said I'm not that grey but the sun catches your hair and makes it look lighter.

Way to go Judy! You are quite the adventurist! Proud of you for going zip-lining. It's one of my favorite things to do. I haven't gotten up the courage to go bungee-jumping yet, but it is on my bucket list of things to do!

I wouldn't bungee jump. I think I'd throw up all the way down and all the while I was swinging. Sorry about the image that might evoke!

I like that bridge though if it was in California it would be deemed unsafe for earthquakes.

The worst bit was probably pushing off at the beginning. After that it was great.

@JudyEv Many years ago I did some rock climbing and rappelling. The rock climbing didn't bother me, but getting over the edge to rappel down was terrifying!

@Platespinner I guess that's how I felt having to push off, off the high seat. Once I was on my way I was fine.

You can't really fall but that doesn't stop you from thinking that you just might, does it?
