Creepiest Romantic movies ever

I just had the most nightmarish day of my life. I go on a Netflix date with someone. We had a deal. She will watch action and horror movies with me if I will watch romcoms with her. Oh my nightmares, 10 hours of chick flicks I have to endure. After experiencing being forced to watch date movies pandering to women. I decided to make a countdown of top 8 creepiest romcoms. 8.Breakfast at Tiffany's -It is marked as the most romantic movie of all time. Oh the guy is actually gay (the character not the actor) . So Audrey Hepburn is so beautiful that a gay guy just converted his sexuality. Bruce Lee Hates this movie because of the scene where Mickey Rooney a white guy plays a Japanese role that is a racist stereotype. 7. Fifty shades of Gray and Twilight- It is a tie between the two. Ladies please tell me why a creepy relationship and an abusive relationship is sexy and romantic? 6.DIRTY DANCING- The origin of the song "time of our lives". I know many women find this very romantic and it makes them want to dance. Umm the guy is like on his late 20's and the girl is 17 and her name is Baby. Isn't this illegal? 5.Breakfast Club- I know for the 80's kids this is a classic but ladies....What is romantic about being bullied and humiliated by a guy and ending up falling in love with him and dating him. I think he even tried to rape her at some point. 4.Big- On this Movie a 12 year old boy wished he will grow up. So he is turned into a 30 year old man played by Tom Hanks. He had romantic relations with a woman and yes they had sex. Oh he turned back into a 12 year old again.... 3. Chances Are- Before Robert Downey Junior is Ironman, He is a guy who got reincarnated into his daughter's boyfriend. He suddenly gained back his past life memory and try to continue his romance with his ex wife. He lost his memories so he ends up dating his daughter again. You may say it is not incest because he is reincarnated into another person who is not biologically related to his daughter but it is creepy. 2.Sooner or Later- This movie launched the career of Rex Smith with his hit songs You take my breath away and Simply Jessie. It is about a 13 year old girl named Jessie who fakes her age so she can be with her 17 year old crush named Michael. She lied to him that she is 16. When he founds out she is lying. They broke up because it makes him feel pedo dating a little girl but their romantic feelings with each other. Michael realized that he really loves Jessie and he don't care anymore that she is lying Jailbait. So they made out even if it means he will get jailed for kissing her in one year. Well they just had a real 13 year old girl make out with a borderline adult guy. 1. My Sister, My Love- This romantic Japanese movie is what it's wrong in many levels. On this movie you will see a brother who is very protective of his sister. He never let other boys court her. It is about a fraternal twins who are so closed with each other that they had sex and for sure their parents are so against it.

I am not a big fan of romance, the only film on the lst I have seen is Dirty Dancing, I watched that for the dancing mostly, maybe Patrick Swayzee too...

What can you say about the fact that Baby is underage? The actress is adult but the character is not. I dont mind Swayzee in Ghost though. Now that is a good movie.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Baby might have been underage, but she consented to her involvement. Back then it would of course been a very bad thing, but Baby was very aggressive.

@sumofalltears Also Baby is gonna be legal in a year. They should have made her 18 instead.

I only watched Twilight and tried to watch a bit of 50 Shades of Gray. I can answer the question: it must be the Belle and The Beast syndrome, we like the idea our love can turn brutes into caring creatures.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Fiction and reality are two different things, sure thing. It's all about respecting oneself in this context, letting fairytales be such.

I've seen some of these . . . Breakfast at Tiffany's - yah, Mickey Rooney's role is cringy. Fifty Shades of Gray - yah, I don't get it Twilight - I never got into this Dirty Dancing - I actually love this movie, but yah, I didn't "get" the romance between Baby and Johnny's. I could see how she would have a big crush on him, but I don't know how he'd fall in love with her. I like songs and dancing. Breakfast Cub - I love this movie. Yah, unlikely friendships and love, but hey, that's kinda cool and imaginary. Big - cute, but has some awkwardness that's not right in real life I haven't seen the 3, 2, or 1. But oh My Sister, My Love sounds totally wrong. TOTALLY.

@CaptAlbertWhisker No worries - I barely get back to everyone even with notifications / Interesting about the book version of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Friendship makes more sense - no one "changes" just like that.

Sorry for not replying, I didn't receive notifications. yeah the number one on the list is very wrong on so many levels. Apparently in the book version of breakfast at Tiffany's it is not a romance but a friendship between a gay man and a woman.

Although I've only seen "Dirty Dancing" many years ago, I was aware of the themes in most of the other movies. As always, I find your interpretation of things quite amusing. But you are also correct in your explanations. Good reading here.

@deazil Number one takes the though. I think even Hollywood wont dare such plot. For some unknown reason Incest themed romance is popular in Japan. Japanese people are not incestuous in real life but its a popular theme on their ficiton.

To be fair with Dirty Dancing, Baby is legal in 1 year. I found something more awful about Number 2. Rex Smith is on his 20's when he did Sooner or Later. So they had an adult man kiss a 13 year old girl on a movie. There is also a make out scene on the movie. I will never see the song simply Jessie the same way again. You can clearly see the age difference with their height.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Regarding Rex Smith - well, that's Hollyweird. They have no morals whatsoever. It's well-known that the movie industry is rife with perversion and pedophilia. I no longer support Hollywood or the movie industry. I think the last movie I watched was "Sin City". Fortunately, I don't recall any songs or music from movies that I regret seeing. Old age allows to forget small details. LOL

In number 3 his wife fall in love with someone else. But its creepy he continued dating his daughter. Number one is such a huge hit in Japan that incest romance anime and mangas became a trend. Number 2, Makes me not see the song Simply Jessie the same way again. Its a Pedo anthem to me now. I might do a cringiest filipino movie....
