My Husband Is Not A Happy Camper.

We had planned to be on the road for a road trip today by 6:30. I pulled out all my meds to put into my suitcase and discovered I need more of one. I thought I had another bottle but no.
So we will be at the Pharmacy at 8 and hopefully they will fill the prescription ASAP.
This is the week my husband is not working this summer so we were and still are going to have a little fun. I might not be around very much but know I will get back to all of you ASAP.
I delivered art to the store yesterday and they were happy to see me. Every time they are happy to see me I know my art is flying off the walls. It makes me happy. They had only three left so they were really happy to see me. I also put some slate in the car so when I have a few minutes I can work on my art if I want too.
I intend to have a good time on this mini vacation but when its quiet I can always paint.
Have a good week, see you later.

I did check and refilled two but missed the third. He behaved well and we had a great time away.

Enjoy your mini vacation. I had a badly needed day out this weekend. Now, after dealing with my father last night, I'm ready for another vacation.

My husband likes the races so we went to Saratoga a couple of times for the day, great fun. He went to his home town to golf with his old buddies and I spent time with my sister when he was away, it was pleasant and just a short visit.

@shaggin yes that is my collection, the santa with fuzzy beards are my sister's art, and the wood ones are mine, most of them carved and a few that I made with wood and a saw....Thank you for your kind words.

Before we moved here to Canada I had real jobs. Here my husband was working and we were here because he was, we had to get landed as a family before I could work so to waste time while the kids were in school I went to an art school for a while and met some awesome people, also found some "like me" who enjoyed art and played with them. I wasn't using slate back them but we had art/craft shows and I became known as the Santa lady, I carved Santa from driftwood from Lake Ontario, that was just the beginning... after stabbing my hands several times I took a night course at our local high school on carving, so glad I did...

@rebelann took that photo one night while camping years ago, we rarely see a full moon with camping but when we do it looks like daytime....almost.

They were ready in a few minutes and we got on the highway. Coming back to Canada we saw a lot of fog, because it was cool and the rivers are still warm...

it happens here, too, when the moon is full and exceptionally bright. even though there are street lights, you're amazed when you see your shadow.
it's so good to know that your partnership with that store is still going strong.

@hereandthere I do have ideas but often can't be here so my stories are showing up less and less... I'm still catching up from the summer.

That happened to us one year. The day before we were to leave I too my husband to the hospital for something on his leg. He was issued a prescription, and given a dose before we left the hospital, and more that we had to have filled the following morning. It dampened our spirits, but only for a couple of hours delay, and after that it was all systems go! I'm sure that you'll use the extra time wisely, double check that you haven't forgotten to pack anything. Enjoy your time away together!!

The meds took a little time but not much and we were on the road and had an easy trip. Enjoyed being away with him for a few days and now we are back home.

@PainsOnSlate Glad to hear it was relaxing. And that your hubby made some money at the track. Does he do his due diligence, or does he slap down money on the horses that look feisty, as I probably would?

@TheHorse He knows how to read the papers. His family were in the horse race life for a long time. I look for the best looking or cutest name and put 2 dollars on it. 99 % of the
time by the end of the day I am ahead by $20, The hubs is usually ahead a few hundred. No losing big money in this family, we go to have fun, enjoy the day. Making money is fun but won't make us rich...
