I think the last thing I wrote about here was me quitting my job. I haven't found another yet but I have been busy working all the same. Week before last I was at my sister's dog / house sitting. They paid me $200.00 and gave me $50.00 for food. I didn't spend the food money and so they ended up giving that to me.
SO $250.00 to stay five days and let the dogs out, keep them fed, and just watch t.v.
I will be putting some things up on ebay coming week after next. I am waiting so long becaue I won't be home for about a week starting today.
To be quite honest, I am enjoying not working for a little while. I am not worried financially as I was prepared for this.. Plus the essentially free $250.00 is a good bit of pocket change.
Just thought I would pop in and say hello.

@TiarasOceanView I grew up being told that you should always give it your all at work, always give a two weeks notice when quitting and never have a big gap in unemployment.
I am not sure that any of those are relevant today but I still follow them as best I can.

I am pretty sure I could get a gig at one of two places if necessary, and I may do that a few days a week just to not have a big gap in unemployment.
Having to work in such a stressful environment has taught me not to let myself get stuck there again.
I now have time to sift through and sell some things I've been needing to get rid of too.

The $250? Oh yes it was excellent pay considering my duties were to let the dogs out, make sure they had plenty of water and food, and that was it.
I was able to eat what I wanted to eat, and watch their television as well.

Yes! The only thing I miss about that place were my co workers... and even then not so much.

No. I provided a service by taking care of her animals and her home.

I wasn't expecting that much money at all!
I expected maybe $100.00 but the $200.00 covers my insurance payment each month.

Yes, I wasn't expecting the food money.
I love animals. They recent acquired a pit bull and I had not met her until the week I sat for them. She (the pitbull) was a handful!

Sure, they paid you well. Glad you're doing well financially although you quitted your job.
And thanks for paying us a visit.

Yes, it was about time I left that place. On top of everything that happened there, I wasn't paid nearly enough.
I have to admit I nearly forgot about mylot over the last few weeks. I will try to be here more often.
