I think it is cruel as I know the comfort of the animals is very rarely considered, why should animals suffer for man, I don't believe animals are here for our consumption and convience, they are living creatures that have feelings, rights and a soul...we should just love them.

generally i feel that its cruel.. but if theres no "harm" coming to the animal and the test may save a human life or a child .. then i dont think so.. i mean.. i hate to ask this but if it came down to your child or your pet..you know? its a tough call.. and it seems that its all or nothing.. but some tests that might make for an itchy monkey?? id say if it could protect my child so be it... but not torture.. theres got to be something else with all this technical knowledge these days

I think in at least 80% of the cases, probably closer to 95%, animal testing is useless and cruel and completely unnecessary.
