Hoping My Day Remains Short

Checked my schedule for today and I only have 2 clients. I am hoping that it remains that way. I have 2 bags of peaches to sort and see what I can save to make preserves. Thought they would keep a little longer, but in this heat they are ripening way too fast. I may see if my hubby can go to my nephew's to pick a few more.
Haven't really had the time to devote to doing much lately. Get home from work and there is housework to be done. Also have Little Miss wanting my undivided attention.
So, at noon, I will head for home and start the preserves. I'll let ya know how it all comes out.

I'll have to toss out the bad fruit. Very little is still good at this point. Had to work more hours today.

@dodo19 I am done at 2 today and looks like it will stay that way. I'll probably get to make at least one batch of preserves if I am lucky.

@LadyDuck I have so little time to devote to much lately. Keeping an eye on this little one is a chore in itself. She goes from one thing to another in a flash!

@ElusiveButterfly The fridge is always a problem. I say all the time that we have to stop buying food and clean up everything there is inside, but this never happens.

@Courtlynn I am going to give it a whirl this weekend. Just have to get the housework done first. The peaches are refrigerated so they should stay better until I can get them processed.

Was assigned another client. Dang. Oh well, hoping for tomorrow. But, hubby will need to go over to my nephew's and pick some more fruit.

And as luck would have it, I was assigned another client. The peaches are no good at this point. My nephew said we could come back and pick more though. I hate waste as well. Really bummed me out to have to throw out this last bunch. I did share quite a bit of the fruit and had peaches everyday though.

I have never tried to make preserves and am looking forward to doing so.
