It's Doggie Grooming Day

I am so lucky to have found a great groomer for the dogs. She comes to the house and the pups jump all over her when she gets here. They absolutely love her. Of course she brings them eat a doggie treat so maybe that has something to do with it. So, this afternoon both dogs will get baths, toe nails clipped, ears cleaned and a haircut. It's so nice not having to take the dogs somewhere to get groomed and the cost is very affordable. Do you have your dogs groomed or do you do it yourself?

We don't have dog groomers on the islands and I do it myself. Otherwise, my poor dogs would look terrible. Bichon's hair grows so fast and it needs to be cut regularly Right now a lot of my firends have to bath and cut their dog's hair.

One of my dogs is a Maltese and her fur grows very fast too. Up until recently we did our own grooming but now it's just worth it to have someone else do it

@Marilynda1225 I think I am the dog groomer for a lot of my friends. They see how I cut the dog's hair and they all ask me to do their dogs. I love dogs so this isn't a problem for me. I give them a bath and then I cut their hair. The other day I did 6 dogs for one of my friends.

Wow. This comes quite a handy. In my case, I usually groom my dog. But then, at times, I dont have much time basically because of work, so I let my cousin take care of him when she has time.

We groom our dog and she loves it. We bathe her, cut her nails and after her bath we blow dry her and she sits there like a princess. Lol, she's spoiled.

That is so handy to have the groomer actually come to you. What a great idea!

@Marilynda1225 Our son had a great place that he used to take Ellie to, the Friendly Groomer, but since they've moved, they've had to find a new one.

It's wonderful and she's amazing. The dogs jump all over her when she gets here and are happy to see her.

No dogs, no dog grooming, but that sounds like the ideal way. My friend has a dog groomer that comes to the house in a special dog grooming truck. Btw, Doodles grooms himself. . I do clean his ears and brush him.

Cats care more about their own personal hygiene than dogs

I don't have a dog right now. I have an acquaintance who is a dog groomer though. She always cut my dogs nails, and so forth.

I give dog groomers credit as they have to have a great love of animals to do that job. I'm sure many dogs aren't happy to get groomed and the groomer has to be loving an gentle

When we had pets, we generally did it ourselves but it was generally tiny pets that simply needed brushing... which they didn't like at all.

we brush our dogs to keep them from getting matted but it's getting too hard to do the bathing and I'm leery of cutting their nails. So this works well for us and the dogs love her

We throw Ruby in the pool and that's about all the grooming she needs. My husband does her nails and we have to always make sure her ears are cleaned since labs get a lot of ear infections. I hear too many horror stores about groomers injuring dogs around here.

I never realized dogs had so many problems with their ears.

We have to take our little dog to the groomers, I have been to so many over the years as he either doesn't like them or they close down all the time here. I am not even sure if we have any mobile groomers.

no dogs, but think I would brush and bathe them myself if I did, and only take them to get ears cleaned and haircuts.
