So, I went to the casino...

Well, let's back up a bit. On the weekend, my friend and I went to the Waterdown ArtsFest, and one of the booths there was the OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming). They were giving away free scratch tickets and $10 vouchers for the casino in Flamborough. I believe every scratch ticket was a "winner", but you had to take it to a lottery retailer to exchange it for a $4 ticket, which we did. I didn't win on the "real" ticket but my friend won $20. Then on Tuesday, we decided to take advantage of the casino vouchers. Since we weren't "members" there, we got an extra $5 voucher for signing up. So we each had 15 free dollars to play with. And because it was "Toonie Tuesday" (first 200 got another free $2 voucher) we had quite a bit to play with. My friend "went for the gold" and kept playing until her vouchers ran out. She ended up only winning $1.70 I, on the other hand, played it safe and cashed out every time I won something and ended up winning a total of $10.20 Not nearly enoughj to make up the shortfall in my real estate fiasco, but better than nothing. There was also a free daily draw for $10,000 but I didn't win that. It would have gone a long way to solve said real estate fiasco, but c'est la vie...

I am not a gambler and would do as you and cash in every time I won. I have done this with scratch off tickets that I have purchased and the clerk at the store finds it puzzling when I ask for the money instead of more tickets.

I usually get crossword or bingo scratch tickets, so even if I don't win anything at least I've played a game. My friend and her mother have taken to have the clerk check the ticket's win code without scratching the play area. Where's the fun in that?

Well, that sounds like fun. I have never been to a casino and don't really have an interest to go. It is aq rathewr long ride to get to one from where I am.

Its a nice amount of money to earn that is for sure but if you could have won much more that would have been even nicer for you.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I'm not really much of a gambler, and only went because we had the free vouchers.

I only played on lottery but not expecting to win since I know that it is really for lucky players ..I still play but not always only when I feel like there will be a chance

I occasionally buy scratch tickets but not the draw ones... I'd forget to check those.

It was too noisy for me, but I had "free money" to play with, so it was profitable, at least.

The first and only time I went to a casino, I only drank some of the drinks that they offer for free, most of the people who went that day lost their money, but they all were happy

Did you enjoy it? Maybe not, since you haven't been in a long time. It's not really my thing, but we had the free play vouchers, so we tried our luck. I ended up with $10.20 that I didn't have before I went, so it was worth it to me.
