Day 4 Isaiah 4 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach. 2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. 3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: 4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. 5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense. 6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain. When you think about the Last Days, what do you think about? Before I became a Christian, before I started studying the Bible, not just reading it, I thought of the last days as the time of God’s vengeance when he would pour out his wrath on the earth, and everyone would be at God’s mercy, which wasn’t available. It was more than fire and brimstone, and Satan’s last dwelling place. I couldn’t find any hope in the last days. In Isaiah’s vision of the last days, it is quite different than anything my imagination conjured up. It will be a time of peace, a time when people can go into the tabernacle and feel the safety of God’s presence. It is a time when God will wash away your filth and make you clean, a spotless bride for the Lord Jesus Christ. Only once before in history do you see the cloud by day and the fire by night: during Israel’s forty years wilderness journey. Yet, you will see the cloud and smoke by day and flaming fire by night once again. It will be a time when God will live among his people, as he did in the wilderness. People will see his presence, and know they are safe. The branch of the Lord is Jesus Christ, and he will be glorious in the Last Days. John describes that day in Revelation. Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. You have nothing to fear from the Last Days if you received Jesus as your Savior and Lord. In those Last Days, you will have no fear of anything because God will be in your midst. Isn’t that something to look forward to? Shouldn’t your thought be, Amen, Come Lord Jesus? Praise should be on your lips and in your heart, because God is faithful, just, loving, and forgiving. Let’s pray: Father, take all fear from me, even now as I wait expectantly for the day Jesus returns for his bride, his church. Help me praise you in everything I do and in everything that happens, knowing that you will keep me safe. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen, come Lord Jesus. Your prayer reminds me of Psalms 150:6 let everything that breathes, praise the Lord, Hallelujah! I feared the coming of the end of the world when I did not know who Jesus Christ was. When I accepted Him as my Savior and Lord, I learned that there is a promise of everlasting life. I will always remember John 14:1-4. Such a wonderful promise. Thank you for this amazing message Valerie.

@just4him It did ease me. I have always thought of the end of times as punishment for all.
