What Kind Of Dog Do You Have?

Are you a dog person? And if so, what kind of dog do you have? Is there a certain breed you like? I have young Siberian Husky, about 7 months old as pictured above. I named him Max after my grandfather (who I admire and look up to very much), and he is a very well behaved, handsome dog. I am a very lucky person! All of the cats I've owned have been rescues from the humane society, as was my last dog, so I decided this time around I wanted to get husky, because they're a breed I've always liked. Something about their wolf-like appearance, piercing eyes, and unique coloring just captures my heart!

Well I have a cat rather than dog and probably wouldn't get a dog because it needs so much looking after. However, at one time when I was a child we had cocker spaniels. If I really had to get a dog I think I would go for one of those tiny handbag teddy bear things. My sister has a Spoodle and she got away with it the supermarket by saying it was her teddy bear! I could just about handle that.

That's awesome that your sister got away with doing that! I couldn't do that with my husky, that's for sure. I know what you mean about cats, though. I have a domestic shorthair at home, and it is nice that she's so independent. As long as she had food, water, and a place to go to the bathroom, she's perfectly content.

I don't have a dog. My father has a dog at home and it is a local breed. I like your husky.

I'm scared of these type of dogs. Are they really dangerous as I feel. Is it easy to keep them

I think it's mainly in the way they look, but they aren't dangerous at all. I mean, if you raise them to be dangerous they definitely could be, but that could be said for any dog I feel. Huskies in general are very, very friendly. Mine is very much a "people dog". He doesn't bite or nip or growl at people, and is always eager to meet new people and be loved. Mine is easy to keep, but he's more well-mannered than I ever expected him to be. Huskies have a double coat of fur, so they shed twice a year really bad, which can be a con, but I don't mind brushing him out when necessary.

I do hope to have one, but my mom doesn't allow me to do so! She said she just couldn't bear another troublesome.

Your dog is cute. I love dogs but don't have any. I love to feed street dogs which have become my friends. I love all kinds of dogs, but my favorite is labrador.

Thank you! Labs are a great breed, and a great family dog as well. I thought about adopting one at one point as well, but I just can't handle more than one dog right now.

While I wanted a cat this time around, we adopted a dog from the Humane Society in June. He's a mutt. Part lab part standard poodle, which I guess makes him a "Labradoodle". I've always LOVED German Shepherds, but didn't want to buy from a breeder and there were no shepherds in the HS at the time. Oscar is a goofy boy, but he's smart and is already a big part of our family.

I love the picture of your dog. I had a lab-husky. Her mother was a labrador and her father a husky. I love labs and huskies.

Max looks like a real beauty. I wish I could have a dog but my husband and I both work full time so it wouldn't be fair.

I don't currently have a pet; but, in the past I've had some beautiful dogs. The love and loyalty that they "bring to the table" is priceless. I will always have a special place in my heart for animals.

Your title shows that you assume all members have a dog. I don't, though.

I have a cockapoo names Sophie... well technically she's my parent's dog now... but every time I go to visit them she comes running and crying to greet me and rolls onto her back on top of me feet.. she is the sweetest little dog. Before we got Sophie, I wasn't a big fan of small dogs, to me, they just didn't seem to play as much as the larger breeds... boy was I wrong, Sophie loves to play tug-o-war and fetch, and she's an incredibly smart and loving dog
