Alone and mylotting.

Marco and Leticia left and I am now alone and mylotting. Several times, when I was in the middle of answering here, I was asked one thing or another by any of them. And many times, when I gave an order to Marco, Leticia said that couldn´t be done just then because it would hinder her work. JEEZZZ!!! So now, after they went away, I feel I have my whole house for myself again. They are both nice and good workers. But I don´t feel like I have to be the director of an orchestra all the time. Do you have such problems with people that help you? Sometimes even my daughters or husband were a nuisance some times.

when I worked in an office, I had a helper who came to my home a couple of days a week to clean, wash etc. One day I came home from work to find that nothing was done in the house and the helper was glued to the television. I asked her what was going on, why no work had been done. She replied that she was watching the coverage of the Royal visit and couldn't stop to do anything. I had forgotten that a member of the Royal family was on a two day visit .

@marguicha Thing is she seemed blissfully unaware that she had done something she shouldn't have.

I can´t do some work anymore. I cannot bend much because my tummy hurts and the oncologist said it would be painful for the rest of my life. And I can´t do some of the garden chores because of my osteoarthritis. So, I hired Marco for the garden for 2 days a month and we´ll try to do the rest between Leticia and I.

There is a time for everything I guess. (I quite enjoy time alone with just myself .)

Although I´m a social person, I also like some time for myself.

I tend to do everything myself for that reason. We have a student called a teacher's assistant assigned to our department one hour a day (they get credit, like for a class) to do copying and other help. Usually it takes longer for me to explain what I want than to do it myself.

I understand that. When I was a professor at the university, I preferred to do some of the work by myself than to have a student do wrong at his own time what I wanted.
