Happy Labor Day to everyone celebrating today.
Today has been a good day. I got a lot accomplished with both the notifications and then my book. I added a lot more to the first two chapters and now I think I can get somewhere on the third chapter.
I do miss not swimming this morning, but I'll be back in the pool tomorrow. Tomorrow is also Writer's Guild. My friend will take my picture, that I will post here Wednesday when I get here. Wednesday I will also be getting my hair done. It needs it. I didn't have it done last month because it didn't need it. It would have been cut, but it didn't grow fast enough for a cut. Now it will get cut and colored so it looks decent again.
So all I did today was relax and run the dishes in the dishwasher. Also talked to my friend from Writer's Guild for a little while.
I like days like today, but you know, sometimes I would just like to spend some time with my kids. I just read a great post that was suggested to me about how time goes by so fast and you need to make memories as much as you can with those you love. It's so true, because you never know when you're going to be living alone, with only yourself for company.

An extra day added to a weekend is always nice for those not working holidays. Many don't get these days, so it is just another day at work for them.

Happy Labor Day to all of us. Good to hear that you have a good day to today. I also accomplished a lot here in mylot. I hit the $0.47 in a day. My daily target is only $0.10. So this is a big day for me. If I can do this for a couple of days then I will hit the $5.00 payment in no time.

I have to agree with you, time flies these days and it's not like we are all having fun. Anyhow, it is Labor Day in the US and a great time to sit back and relax or do something that you have wanted to do for a long time. Have a great day.

@poehere Only for a moment. It does make for a short week at the pool though. I'll only have four days instead of five. Unless I go in on Saturday, which I normally don't do because it opens so late and my day is almost half over by the time I would get home. At least it feels like it. It opens at 7 instead of 5 and that two hours makes a huge difference.

It really was nice to just sit back and enjoy the day. Tuesday is hard though. You have to remember it's Tuesday and not Monday, which I had no problem with until I got to the pool and saw the Tuesday lifeguard and was expecting the Monday one.

It has been quiet here. Finishing up dinner of baked chicken thighs, rich and chopped spinish. Sun is shining and we are waiting ofr a early cold front which will dip temps about 5 degrees and much cooler evens in the 60s. This front could help keep Irma out of the Gulf and I hope by the weekend stir it out into the open waters of the Atlantic

@Elizaby I just looked at the storm and it has a lot of possibilities right now where it could go, but it will impact Florida to some extent. I'm praying it turns east out into the Atlantic. The good thing I saw just now is that by the time it hits Florida it will be downgraded to a category 3 from the 5 it is right now. My prayers are with everyone in the path of this storm.

It does sound like you got a lot done on your book. I love when I have days like that. I had a few people over and we enjoyed the day. Now I want to rush and catch up with what I should have been accomplishing the last few days. I won't rush but I woulod like to.
