Bacon Sandwiches...

Canada

Ever since I was young, this was a thing in my house. No matter if you ate bacon in the morning for breakfast, for lunch, at suppertime or even just for some strange snack. Bacon was never just served on the side of the plate, but always wrapped in a piece of bread. There was usually no need for any condiment on the bread with the bacon either. Because the grease from the bacon made it yummy, just the way it was. You could eat this alone, with just bacon and bread. Or have other things on the bread with it. Eggs, hash browns, lettuce, and tomato. A lot of things went with bacon sandwiches. With me, my favorite was always just plain bacon and bread. Is this a thing in your home? What's your favorite way to eat a bacon sandwich?

I LOVE bacon! Any way you serve it is fine with me. I like to make a bacon weave, it fits in a sandwich perfectly. For a bacon sandwich I can't decide between a BLT or a grilled cheese with bacon. Have you seen this?

Nice! I haven't seen that commercial before, but I am tempted to try the Ritz, now!

@deazil When I watched it earlier the only thing about it that didn't make any sense at the time was why the person exercising at the gym was grilling bacon at the same time That's when I realized it was a spoof product

@indiandevil I think it's an old commercial. It was posted in 2014. When I first saw it I thought the Porta Bacon was a real product. Because I'm so into bacon it didn't occur to me at first that it wasn't real. I was thinking "Wow. You can make bacon anywhere!" I thought the woman at the desk wasn't using it properly. It took me a minute to get it, Then I was disappointed. LOL

I use bacon to cook. I would not eat turkey if I didnĀ“t put a lot of bacon strips over it. Needless to say, the bacon disappeared before the dish was served.

I used to eat bacon sannies when I lived UK side. Here not so much..the bacon is so thin and useless here..not like the big rashers you get over there.

Hmm, really. I can't imagine bacon thicker than what we have here but maybe Canadian bacon is different as well, hard to say.

With a squirt of HP sauce, definitely. And crispy bacon, with a little fat still attached. A fresh bap, or roll, makes all the difference... and a steaming mug of tea!

Sheesh! I was already hungry before I saw this post, now I'm REALLY Hungry! Kind of wishing I still had bacon in the fridge, but I make eggs often in the morning and usually have bacon on the side and burned through the last of what I had. Sounds delicious as a sandwich though!

It has been many years since I've eaten bacon but I have very fond memories of bacon, lettuce, tomato, and green chile sandwiches. Yum.

I do love bacon sandwiches as in grilled cheese or in BLTs. I do love it for breakfast or brunch.

Growing up my kids always like bacon and cheese whiz sandwiches for breakfast. I like BLTs. They are my favorite sandwiches.
