Every time I'm at the mall I try to avoid this Korean cosmetic shop called The Faceshop. Why? They always have this cute new items and sale items that I find hard to resist. But today, since I was at the lower ground floor of the mall where the shop is located, I couldn't help but enter and saw they have Snow White, Ariel, and Rapunzel cushion but it was a color correcting cushion. So I end up getting this new item they call Anti-Darkening Cushion. The sales lady explained to me how it works and I instantly understood that what this makeup meant by anti-darkening is that it doesn't oxidize when applied to skin. Then the face mask was on buy 5 take 5 and I love their masks so of course I just have to get them. The best part? I got Winnie the Poo cushion case for free! Are you an impulse buyer?

I am not. I am a wise buyer. I buy what I need not what I feel buying. But one time (long time ago) I fell in love by impulse. And I regret it.

Well, at least you bought things that you are going to use. I'm not as bad as I was. I have bought many things that I never used. Now, I'm more careful.

Sometimes, I am an impulse buyer. That is why, my hubby is monitoring me for my spending ways. But I changed. I only buy when I need to. So those sachets are facial masks. Wow, I remember my niece gave me one when they came from Japan and I haven't used it yet. Maybe I should try it this week.

They are called sheet masks. There are a lot of varieties now including black sheet, laced sheet, animal sheet masks. You should try it. I hate the fragrance ones since I'm allergic to most fragrance. And I don't like the bubble mask as well. I use my own money so nobody dare stop me from spending it.

@SIMPLYD It depends on what type of mask you're using. There are several types of mask. If it's a firming mask then I expect it to tighten the skin. But then again it depends on the brand and how diligent are you in using it.

@toniganzon Can they tighten the facial skin? I haven't used yet the facial mask until now. I always forget it. Of course, no one can keep you from spending your own money.

Many times I have been known to be an impulse buyer. Just cannot help it at times. The problem is remembering when I am out and running around to not spend so much that the rest of the week or whatever becomes so tight that I feel like I am just scraping by.

Self-cotnrol is important. We need to spend only within the budget and try not to go beyond that.

@toniganzon It doesn't mean that you haven't and I didn't mean to imply that. I mean that when I had a family with three children to support, I couldn't any longer and I was a big impulse buyer. Now that they are grown up I wouldn't mind the occasional impulse buying. We have to admit, impulse is fun,

I have tried shopping online from Ulta and I was surprised by the free samples they sent. We don't usually get free samples from this country when we shop at cosmetic stores.

@DianneN Samples a great marketing strategy to get the people to test out the product first before actually buying it. And they do send samples that are worth buying in full size. Wish our country have that as well.

@toniganzon I'm so happy Ulta sends you free samples. I tried some of the samples I was given at the last department store I was in. The product was great. I'm planning to purchase the full size now.

Yeah, when I actually have a use for them I can be impulsive but when I don't see the necessity of a product, I also think before getting it and mostly I don't. So all the things I buy on impulse, I use them.

That's a lot of thinking. If it's something highly expensive like over $1000 then I have to think of that hard except for the out coming iPhone X. My mind has already been fixed regarding that since I get a new iPhone each year.
