Last night I asked my husband while we were watching Hurricane Irma on the news, I wonder I alligators will appear during the storm. Sure enough, there was a picture of an alligator crossing the street in town where we often go. I wonder if he is afraid of the people as they are of him. He has to be lonely. I

Small gators fear people, unfortunately the big ones are not at all scared.

They need their genes modified. Hey Anna, just a thought. They are developing gene based therapy for cancer. What if such gene modification was possible in alligators, sharks, boa constrictors, lions, etc., etc., to ensure that they steered clear of humans. Including mambas...wow, we would rule and they would be safe.

@vandana7 If God created them as they are there is a reason and I would not mess up with animals.

If he is lonely and looking for a friend, I'm not available. Alligators don't have a good reputation and so I would rather not encounter one.

Me neither. There was one spotted in town near a restaurant we go to. It was close to the water.

I saw people helping beached dolphins back into the water this morning. I'm sure alligators are just as misplaced as many other wildlife creatures

One was walking down the street and really looked lost. Even though they are big and scary I am sure they get scared at times to.

More than lonely hungry...let it spot no humans or pets. Especially babies and elderly folks.
