Why do hurricanes have different names?

I learned new hurricane names here on myLot like Irma and Katrina. Actually, I also feel sad for those affected by hurricanes. I have also had a better understanding of what a hurricane is. But why do they have different names?

Just like we have different names, to distinguish one storm from another. The names will re-used unless they are very destructive, such as Katrina, then they are taken out of circulation.

They don't really name it the same when it reaches the country. Specially in my country. They just name it in random I supposed.
