This video is another presentation of 'evidence against Christians who insist that the Bible-history (in the book of Genesis) as "a factual retelling of the events of the world's creation" despite the fact that we've gathered so much evidence that things happened differently than that.' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRbnws-zITg Makes me think of 'the Flat Earth'---"in the beginning," the Earth was flat! (Oh, we know now that it is- & has always been-'spherical'; about the same way everyone "knew" that the Earth was flat ... makes me think of that scene in [u]MEN IN BLACK[/i] where K explains to J how there have been 'aliens among us' for a very-very long time: "Just think what you'll 'know' tomorrow.") When it was 'discovered' that the Earth was round (partly by explanation of 'the Sun's different position at different locations "noon"s, or -of 'the horizon and the fact that it moves away when one tries to see over it '; but most-definitely with 'pictures taken from the space-shuttle'), people accepted 'why they thought the Earth was flat before' (so much so that some people still hold to 'that belief') and accepted that the new understanding had always been the truth before! Why can't Christianity do that? Why can't they accept that the Genesis-story is 'a story we tell children to reassure them that things are going just-as-planned' (like The Stork that delivers babies, like Santa Claus delivering toys, like the Tooth Fairy taking baby-teeth & maybe leaving a gift in its place, like the Easter Bunny hiding Easter-eggs, like the Sun 'moving across the sky', etc.)? Why do Christians insist that 'the way the ancients guessed the world's creatures came to their current form' is 'the way it's always going to be understood that they did'? I think it has something to do with Lord Jesus' assurance- (and our 'use of His public execution-&-(less public)-resurrection-&-Ascension' as affirmation)-that 'our ancestry' has little-or-nothing to do with 'our future.' Why do you think Christians insist that 'the way the ancients guessed the world's creatures came to their current form' is 'the way it's always going to be understood that they did'?

First of all God has always said that the earth was round... the Creation account in Genesis 1 describes all the land as existing "in one place" in Genesis 1:9 while all waters are gathered likewise. Geometrically, this can only happen on a sphere, and therefore Genesis 1 implies a round earth. Isaiah 40:22 reads, “It is he [i.e. God] who sits above the circle of the earth.” If early man would have listened to God instead of their own perceptive of things...They would have known the earth was in fact round..It took technology, and science to prove the word of God to be true.. Just like with the age of the earth...Man Puts a day at 24 hours....God puts one day at 1000 years... But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Mans perspective earth was created in 7 days......Gods word if one day is 1000 years then it took 7000 years for creation to take place.... Once again it took science to prove God's word True....as we know the earth has been here billions of years not thousands... The video you present is not evidence at all...First Gods word is not myth. and Jesus Christ who Christians follow is not a mythical being.... The maker of this video misquotes things to fit his own perceptive.... Example He says at the 10.52 spot...That we were created in its image... What God actually said is.....Let us make man in our image, in our likeness...(Father, Son, and spirit) The image of God refers to the immaterial part of humanity. It sets human beings apart from the animal world, fits them for the dominion God intended them to have over the earth ... Mentally, humanity was created as a rational, volitional agent. In other words, human beings can reason and choose. This is a reflection of God’s intellect and freedom. Morally, humanity was created in righteousness and perfect innocence, a reflection of God’s holiness. God saw all He had made (humanity included) and called it “very good Socially, humanity was created for fellowship. This reflects God's true nature and His love. In Eden, humanity’s primary relationship was with God (Genesis 3:8 implies fellowship with God), and God made the first woman because “it is not good for the man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18). Adam and Eve made an evil choice to rebel against their Creator. In so doing, they marred the image of God within themselves, and passed that damaged likeness on to all of their descendants (Romans 5:12). Today, we still bear the image of God (James 3:9), but we also bear the scars of sin. Mentally, morally, socially, and physically, we show the effects of sin. The video speaks of God having no physical form which is totally wrong...Because Jesus Christ---God in the flesh--does and did have a physical body, made of flesh. our Creator was subjected to all natural threats as described at the 13;15 spot....Jesus Christ did suffer..... The person that made this video is just taking his own opinion as a man instead of really listening and believing what God actually says...... God did give us the answers to everything..He gave us all the knowledge needed to fix all the problems that we face..... The thing is like with flat or round, or earth age....When you make a mans view instead of the truth of what God says is where problems come from.....

reminds me of how the same Bible-verse can be used to claim that the Lord condones "slavery as -to claim that the Lord forbids slavery.

@dlr297 But then people go and apply His Old laws to New Times with no respect to the context!

@mythociate Yes when you understand that it is satan's (or Evil) intention to destroy what is God's..then you can see what Evil taking over man did.... God created rules for it to benefit everyone....The poor got the help they needed, and thief's got the just punishment for their crimes.... But when Evil stepped in and changed it to something ugly and hurtful.
