My Drunk Irish Neighbor

My husband and I love him. He lives diagonally across from us. He has his wife mow the lawn and shovel the snow. He also is up early on weekends during the summer playing Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin tunes. We hear the beer bottles hitting the garbage can from his top level deck at like 10am and just laugh. He showed me his backyard once and it is gorgeous! One side is a lavish lawn and garden and the other side has the pool. I love it! We see him occasionally at the bar and he will chat with us and buy us a drink. Tonight he spent over an hour talking to us. He finally invited me to use his pool "anytime". I was like "thanks, it's September 16. Summer is over!" He said his pool is still 86 degrees so I may freak him out and show up tomorrow morning. My plan is to stay on very good and close terms with him throughout the fall/winter/spring so I can get another invite to the pool next summer. We get along very well so it shouldn't be an issue!

oh please. He was in and out of the Irish brogue all night. He's full Irish and loves his wife Margaret Mary.

@NJChicaa least he is decent and nice. I hate the ones who scream and tell. I'm petsitting and the neighbour's who ackward onto them tend to be screaming or fighting.

Nah. He's pretty harmless. The most damage he does is to a 30 pack of Miller Lite.

My family on mum's side are Irish and I like a drink or two or three. :-D I can do drunk Irish. I'll go hang out with him. :-D You might be invited over for St Patrick's day. Brace yourself!
