Takes a very long time to load the desktop

I got this brand new gaming computer that takes a very long time to load the desktop after entering the username and password. It just shows a blank black screen, and I had to wait for like ten to fifteen minutes to see all my icons. It is very annoying! I tried some basic troubleshooting steps like disabling some services, uninstalling recently installed programs, and updating the computer's software but to no luck, it did not resolve it. But I am persistent in finding a way, and I always try to obtain the solution myself first before I ask for any help from anyone. It is a good thing that lot of information is available on the internet right now. I have found a solution from one of the tech forums. I figured out that this is a known issue with HP and Windows. I resolved the problem by disabling App Readiness in the startup services. Hurray! I got my new Omen HP laptop today, it booted fine the first time but after restarting it now takes up to 10 minutes to load, all I get is a black screen with a cursor. I can still open task manager, I reset the laptop and it worked fine but after restartin

Thanks, that's the first thing I did. Disabling non-Microsoft startup services but it did not fix it. Thanks to that forum I found the fix.

@die1001 I fix it by disabling the App Readiness service from the startup which is a Microsoft service.

Start up programs are the most common cause of such issues.
