Ok I just read Valerie's challenge so thought I would join in on the fun. Lets see if I can actually come up with 10 things about me. 1. I am 59 years old and my husband is 61. We have been married for 29 years and together 35 years. 2. I have two sons that are the light of my life. Sam is 26 and works for Amazon. Danny is 25, has his Master's Degree in Astro Physics and is currently working for an Insurance Technology Company. 3. I was born and raised in Chicago and am a die hard Cubs fan. 4. I love the outdoors and camp and fish every chance I get and that's a lot as hubby and I are retired. 5. I am the 2nd oldest of 5 siblings. My parents are both deceased but us 5 kids are all still living and all but one live in Illinois. 6. I would actually like to move out of Illinois but my house which was built in 1900 is my joy and I don't think I can ever leave it. 7. I am extremely short. I stand a whopping 4 foot 10 inches tall and didn't have a shot at height as both my parents were very short as well. My husband is 6 foot 2 inches, I think tall guys love us short short women. 8. My parents and all my siblings have blue eyes, except me, I have green eyes. Ut oh. lol. 9. The 1970's was my favorite decade. Oh what fun and for those of you not born yet in the 70's dang it you missed it. 10. I plan on buying a fairly new van soon and taking a National Park visiting trip out west this coming spring or summer. My pic is from 2010 when my youngest graduated from High School.

Lovely photo of you and your men! To be honest, I knew many facts about you on your list, but didn't know you were so petite. You will love taking your new van to the West! What a fabulous and diverse country we are lucky enough to live in! Woot woot!

@fishtiger58 If I did, I totally forgot. Winter sounds like the perfect time to plan your trip. There are soooo many great places to visit. So exciting. My parents took us to so many wonderful places on our way to and from California by car. After all these years, I still have such vivid and wonderful memories.

@DianneN We have to pick and choose carefully I hear some of those parks it takes hours to get in. I sure don't want to deal with that. But it's going to be great.

I forgive you being a Cubs fan I didn't miss the 70's. It was an interesting decade for me - graduated from high school, joined the Navy, got married, and all my kids were born in the 70's. Buying a new van and taking a National Park tour next summer sounds like a lot of fun. You and I are the same height. Shortness does have it's advantages. Great picture! You have a lot here to be proud of. Thanks for doing the challenge.

@fishtiger58 Age does that to the memory. I knew you were short. I didn't know we were the same height until you put it here. I shrunk - that's my excuse for being short.

@just4him My mom was 5 foot my dad about 5 foot 5 I didn't have a shot in the least of attaining some sort of height. I am the 2nd oldest of 5 and the shortest but we are all short. Then I started dating my hubby he is 6 foot 2 inches and my family was amazed lol.

My home is great, I love how old it is, it still has some over 100 year old glass in some of the windows. They don't make glass like that anymore, it has a bit of a wave in the glass, it's beautiful.

@FayeHazel Yes I have heard that if the glass breaks I can sell it to glass makers or those who make stained glass as it's so unusual and not available anymore. Hopefully that glass will remain in my windows for a long time, it's already been there for 117 years.

You look like such a close-knit loving family, I just love this picture! We are very close in age, I'm a few years younger and we've been married for about the same length of time too. I have to agree that growing up and being a teenager during the 70's was pretty cool. Of course I don't know an other era for being a teenager do I?

Thanks we are close knit, and me and my husband are proud of the men our boys have become. Oh the 70's what a decade, lots of fun and becoming an adult and starting to make my way in this world. I will forever have fond memories of the 70's

Tall guys seem to love short women. My friend is very short and her husband is very tall. Enjoyed reading your list of 10 and I probably should do the same

You are considerably taller than I am, and you can see the height difference between my husband and I. My younger son is a bit taller than the oldest.
