Just saying

Seems that some folk have a 'thing' with some of the stuff I post, saying they are not conversations. Nope, they are not... they are conversation openers. Everything has to start somewhere and in the words of that great philosopher, Winnie the Pooh, "the beginning is a very good place to start" The mere fact that you (someone) has responded shows my post works. You see I don't like the boring, mundane, irrelevant shushh, like.. "I had tomato soup for lunch, what did you have?" or "I think my boy/girlfriend is having an affair... what do I do" even, "the sun shone today, what is the weather like where you are?" Come on folks, get creative, get interesting and stop kicking those that do in the B**ls, some of us won't come down to your level of sub-intelligence whatever you do. Just saying!

Some people don't have busy, interesting lives to lead so all they can talk about is what they eat or the weather. It's so easy to find another discussion that interests you though.

Oh, yes, they love straight-talkers too! An opener, or, as Bamber Gaspipe would say, "a starter for 10", is just that: something open-ended, something to get the discussive (?) juices flowing...

@pgntwo My most favourite comment is, "It's also raining here" from a member who hasn't mentioned his country.
