I just can't decide which cereal is the right temperature. No I can't. By cereal I mean kitchen cupboards. Did that change make your head spin? I certainly hope not. Anyway, I am looking at kitchen cupboards today. I just can't be satisfied. The cupboard is too high, I have to climb onto a stool to get in it. Not at all a safe idea for me and my constant dizziness. The cupboard is low, makes my neck crick start up and yep, dizzy. Cupboard too long and deep, I can't see what is in the back, hiding. I'm just a mess. This is why I use the dishwasher for a cupboard: it at least has racks that pull out to me and easy peasy, I can grab vintage bowls and get to my task, such as making another batch of bread. I wish all my cupboards were as sweet as that dishwasher rack! Sigh. I hope your kitchen days are going better than mine.

I have some rather high cupboards as well but I also have a pantry cabinet with pull out shelves so I can reach the things I use most.

@sallypup I realized when I was planning my kitchen it was something I wanted since I don't have a traditional pantry. Now I would have changed the entire design to include a pantry.

@BelleStarr A pantry would be a fine thing. I suppose its crazy but since my kitchen has no place to store metal bakeware, I store that stuff in a little cabinet in the dining room. I get a teeny bit of exercise when I bake something, walking from the kitchen to the dining room for the needed pan.

@TiarasOceanView The last time I went to a Doc that guy said something that still haunts me. He mumbled something about how if vertigo affected my life, he might have to see the issue differently. As it was all he had to advice was neck exercises and neck muscle relaxer pills. I am NOT taking muscle relaxer pills. They will zonk me out and I do not have time for the bologny.

@sallypup Oh heck no..and did I ever tell you vertigo can be caused by the crystals inside the ear being off balance? There is an easy fix for this called the Epilly Maneuver..here you go..easy to get done by someone that knows what they are doing..or yourself even.. My Mother gets treatments occasionally at the chiropractor for it and he gently does it for her and she is right as rain then for months at a time..no dizziness.
Use this video to guide you through the epley maneuver at home! This is a great technique to use for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Check with your ph...

@TiarasOceanView Yes the doc talked about calcium moving around in my ear canal. This is why he said to do the neck exercises. Not joking: when I was a teen, a bull stepped/ shoved on my neck. Since then I have been super careful with how I move my neck cause it goes into crick mode easily. Thanks for the nifty video.

I'm worried about you, have you seen a doc about your dizziness?

@rebelann You sweet thing you. I did go to the doc and I happened to be coping with a migraine so he got to see me in full glory mode. He prescribed muscle relaxers and neck exercises. (I turned my head to the left side and almost blacked out on him.) I refuse to take the muscle relaxers cause they turn me into a zombie and I do not have time for that plus I hate the feeling.

@rebelann I went to an ear doc just over a year ago cause my right ear refused to allow sound in. He cleaned a garbage can full of wax out and I could hear. He did not tell me that there was anything going on other than that.

All my cupboards are packed with dishes and pans etc. I really do try to keep them organized and neat.

@LeaPea2417 I know what you mean. I like a big counter for rolling pie dough out on.

It does sound simple and easy. If you do need some other ideas perhaps this can help.

@responsiveme I am old fashioned. I wash my dishes by hand in the sink. I do many things by hand. I do have an electric clothes washer and dryer, though.

@sallypup I don't have a dish washer...Most don't , so always wash by hands in the sink. Like you we too use the washing machine for clothes but then hang them out to dry

@responsiveme I have a clothes rack. My dryer doesn't always work well so sometimes I take the rack out in the warm sun and dry them there.

I had a friend who stuffed kitchen things to store in her oven . . . but she never used her oven (and for that matter she rarely used the kitchen at the time!). I am short, so I've always had to use a stool or chair. It doesn't me too much, but I just wish I had more storage space period to hold everything we have!!
