Don't you think that there are times when you make up your own definition of something?

What I am trying to say is, We hear things like, "If you've seen one, you've seen 'em all." - and you tend to form your own definition by thinking it might mean something like the following: (All rednecks ride motorcycles and drink whiskey) We tend to define things the way we do based on what is sometimes called, a Stereotype. This has to do with the way we are brought up. We tend to think the way our parents think or our age group or the people we just hang out with at the bar. It's the way pier influence can create a meaning behind an idea that can never change even when feeling a certain way about things might cause us to lose friends and get us put on someone's S-List. What is the cause of this kind of Mob mentality, especially when it happens in the workplace? Look at this link an find out more:

I don't like the mob mentality and especially the hazing that goes on in the public educational system, the military as well as the workplace. It's like that also in the world of politics.

Birds of a feather flock together, seen this my whole life. BUT I do not form an opinion till I meet the person.

You have the keen sense of fairness and are among the minority who think for themselves. Too bad many just go with the flow just do not try to make waves.

I guess..I got bullied most of the time and had to admit that "I`m not good at fighting back as a strong person, I just go away avoiding worst things to happen and try to see what is good stored for me in some other places

You have to maintain a positive attitude and just let go of the people who are negative towards you and try to dominate you with their opinions. That is why it is sometimes bad to talk politics or religion with friends or neighbors as it can and often does, lead to misunderstandings that create bad feelings that take a long time to heal.

Thanks for sharing. I usually like to put things my own way so there are times when I have considered making up a list of my own kind of saying but haven't done it yet.

Putting things your own way is what we as writers are all about. We put our own personal touch on things so that makes it unique and original. Not status quo but honest.

Few people want to check it for themselves. Isn't it easy to follow a crowd?
