Insomniac..anyone else?

United States
September 26, 2017 2:10am CST
Hello everyone! It's two in the morning at the moment and have trouble sleeping. Is anyone else an insomniac? I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on helping me sleep. I've tried taking warm baths and even reading a book because it usually gets me sleepy. Sadly no luck. I would love to know if anyone has any tips or ideas to help me get a good nights sleep. Could it be the coffee I drink? I'm addicted, but I'll usually just have a cup a day. Thanks everyone!

Have you tried reading the Bible when you get in bed? Try it and let me know what happens.

@enlightenedpsych2 I don't read in bed and after I say my prayer I fall asleep most of the time with no problem and so I read my Bible during the day.

Coffee in the morning is ok but don't drink coffee nor coke late afternoon onwards. Turmeric/Ginger tea with milk before bed is ok for me but not advisable for pregnant or persons with heart ailment. Or watch/listen boring movies/music or read boring news/stories

Music helps me sometimes. That and I take a warm shower about a half hour before I go to bed.

We all have days when we are not able to sleep. Listen to slow music. It helps.

I also experience this almost everyday. I have tried going to bed late but it never works. Whether i go to bed late i still find myself awake at around1.45am. I would also like to know what the remedy is too.

Avoid coffee for the moment. Exercise and keep yourself busy in the day time. For sure you’ll get tired, and eventually fall to sleep.

Unless I am very tired, I don't get sleep, I try listening to soothing music, so far it helped me
