The Suggestion Option At Mylot

I do not use the suggestion option often but I did today @fourWalls wrote an interesting discussion about taking the knee, its looking at life differently than just rebelling, so I clicked on all I follow and suggested it, not for the religion but the facts that those are also rich men that could care less about anyone.
I really think this discussion has meaning.
I received a message from someone telling me not to suggest anything to her about taking the knee. I did not recognize this person so I searched her name and I DO NOT follow her.
I told her I was sorry and I did not know how she received the suggestion since I do not follow her, I expected that to be the end of this message.
But NOOO! She told me "You have to follow me!" As though I was lying. I replied "No I do not but It will not happen again." And I had to block her, I hate to block people but really I did not follow her and I have never seen her name or face before, I said I was sorry, there is not much else I can say.
So my point is, maybe I wont be using the suggestion option so much

I am glad you suggested that post. I agree with most of what was written. I may not be religious but @fourWalls made some very valid points.
Sorry about that person who messaged you. Maybe she follows you and that's why it was suggested for her?

You may not follow her, but she follows you. I believe the Suggest feature goes to those who follow you (your Followers). I tried it before, and I see a list of so many people I don't recognize and I know I don't follow. What I do is I only suggest post to certain people who I know for sure they will be interested in and have not seen the post yet. I can select to whom I want to suggest the post to. Even though I have to select among my current 937 followers, at least they are in alphabetical order so it's not too hard to do.
All she had to do was to un-follow you or anyone else she did not want to receive any suggestions from...

@hereandthere Exactly. No one can suggest anything to JJ except admin because that is all he follows.
I know at least one member here who does not want ANY suggestion. She announces it on her profile page yet she follows 93 people. There is a chance that she will still get suggestions from any she is following as they may miss the notice on her bio.

and the opposite happens too. i see a post that i know is right up someone's alley, but i can't suggest it to them because i follow them, but they don't follow me.

I really hate to hear about nasty people on this site. Someone needs to tell her that won't be tolerated here. Sorry you had to go through that.

when i receiving suggested posts. i don't assume anything about the person sending it. i'll look at them all, then decide if i'll participate or not.

I have never used it but I at least take a quick look at the ones that are suggested to me. I would have blocked her too, sounds like she has a bad attitude.

I've never used the suggestion option. I've only blocked one person, who called me a primitive ape because I criticized Cheeto Von Tweeto in a comment.

LOL, I got called a name and that was the first I blocked as well, I swear if I was a man and had to live with the woman I blocked I would beat her

It pisses me off when a person is that rude to me. When you say sorry, that should be enough. There is no need to be like that. If all else fails and the person keeps going on there is no other choice but to block them. I don't mind receiving suggestions from time to time. I did receive yours. I didn't comment because this guy is rude. I checked him out and he only comments once in a while to people who responded and then it is only to certain members. I don't like this type of behavior and I no longer waste my time responding to their posts. I did read it and it was good. Thanks for suggesting it. I also saw all the comments and how he never once responded back to them.

This is the reason why I do not "suggest" a post. I also unfollow someone because of suggesting posts I do not like.

I see nothing wrong with using the suggestion option. I do not think I will use it myself though.
