The day before two days off school

Tomorrow will be the day before Fall Break. Today, all of us teachers are just sitting here after school and blanking out. None of us are getting much work done. Tomorrow will be hard because students and teachers are both in "Time for vacation" mode. Teachers have had no breaks (during the week) since Aug. 21, students had a couple days off for teacher work days. I am looking forward to Saturday. Do you find it hard to work on the day before you know you will have vacation?

We had a couple of teachers who would have us working right up to the last day. It certainly made it easier for them to keep control.

Well, the problem if they assign something to turn in is that then they have to grade it during break.

@petatonicsca We weren't given homework on whatever it was but it did keep our heads down and mouths shut. Perhaps it passed the time faster for the teachers too.

Now that you mention Fall Break I have to check when they start here, better to go to the Mall before they start.

I think one does not work the previous day because your mind is set for the vacation and what or where you will visit during that time. Its just excitement and relaxation working continuous without break. the relaxation is good for your body too.

I find it hard to work the day before a weekend. I get so anxious to have a day off. However, I put my best foot forward and get the job done.

Yes it is hard to concentrate at work when you know vacation is coming. Today is the last day of school here kids have Friday and Monday off.

when i know we will not have duty due to a holiday, the tendency is i get lazy that i stay up to high noon only then i tell my students that we go to the third floor where i give them their rotation examinations and they complete their requirements on reflective statements and nurses' sample charting.
