Underestimated Kid Movies

One of my favorite movies is actually Lego Batman. I really underestimated how much I would like it, given that the audience is kids and families. But the humor and Lego novelty really got to me and I enjoyed it so much more than I initially anticipated.
Are there any movies that you thought was "just for kids" but realized after watching it that it was really well done?

Oh so many, actually. Zootopia is a very good one, in my opinion.

I just disliked kids movie or cartoons. But recently my younger brother[5] use my laptop seeing cartoon like siva, ganesh, krisna, tom and jerry, doremon, etc. and also animation movies. I cant fight with him and thats why sometimes I had to watch these.
Amazingly I found that they were relly funny, enjoyable, logically logicless, and entertaining too.
I think everybody can watch them for refreshment.

We watch all sorts of kids movies. We have Lego Batman here at home. It is not one of my favorites... could be because I have watched it so many times. One of my favorite kids' movies is Toy Story 2.

I sometimes think movies for kids should be targeted to adults as well.
Especially the big ones, Pixar and such, have enough drama and comedy an adult is likely to enjoy as much as a child does, if not more. For example, my father loves Despicable Me way more than I do.
