Tomorrow used to be a day off

We used to have Columbus Day off as a holiday. Now the students get it off and the teachers have to go in for a professional day of meetings/trainings/etc. At least we get to go in an hour later than normal. . . though we get out an hour later. I don't mind learning new things about how to do my job better, but, unfortunately, that just never happens during our professional development days. It is just wasted time sitting around with Chromebooks where we are supposed to "do" stuff that we've all either already done or don't have access to from the place that we are at. I will be VERY cranky tomorrow. Don't freaking waste my time. I'd rather just have a normal day of work so I can just get on with my job.
