I need to put myself about a bit more

As it were. What I mean is that I want to mingle a bit more in the wider mylot community, I've got my set of friends who I follow and I love you all but sometimes it feels like mylot is a very small place because I interact with the same people all the time. I'm like that in life as well, I know what I like and I like what I know but after a while I can start to feel like I'm stuck in a rut and I need to broaden my horizons a bit How do you make new friends on mylot? Photo is of a butterfly I saw in my mam's garden the other week when I was pet-sitting, I had to take a picture cos I don't remember ever seeing a butterfly with these colours! The picture doesn't do it justice at all

It is all right to explore more. We are not confined to a set of friends or followers. We could venture with more people and expand our world with more ideas. That is an unusual looking butterfly, we don't have that in our country, I suppose. Here's to seeing more of you in mylot discussions.

@LilyBeBack I dwell at the foot of the Sierra Mountain Ranges, the longest mountain range north of the Philippines. In my vicinity, we have pure white and yellow butterflies, earthy brown, black with intricately decorate wings of blue and green. In my youth, I have seen Mariposa, large butterflies that does not budge. We never tried to catch the Mariposa. Your butterflies must be so beautiful. I like this one very much.

Yeah I think I need to be proactive The butterfly looks similar to others we have here but the colours are something I've never seen before - the picture didn't pick it up but in real life it actually had golden parts and the purple was a lot more like lilac

I am one of your old friends in both sense of the word and I love you too. I used to be a right mingler, but don't bother so much these days. I guess broadening your horizons is a good idea. It's definitely no use relying on me for stimulation, at least not if you need it daily or more often.

@LilyBeBack It's always great to see you whenever you decide to show yourself. I am here weakly these days. If I see one of your new friends becoming too friendly, don't worry, I'll jump in and save you.

I can't be relied upon to be here daily anyway My friends, both old and new, need to be able to deal with a Flakey McFlakeface who may or may not say hello once a day, week, or month

I am the same way. Occasionally I'll find someone I'm not following through the comments of a discussion I'm reading and check out their posts. I'm slowly starting to follow more people, but I'm picky about what I like to read.

Me too, and I don't like to have to wade through loads and loads of discussions that don't interest me when I'm looking through my following list

@LilyBeBack Life is generally good here. Trump hasn't gotten us all killed yet in WWIII, so that is always a good thing! haha It's sunny and hot here where I live in Florida, it should be Fall now, but it still feels like summer. I can't wait for cooler weather to finally get here! How old is your son? I have a 15-year old son and an 18-year old daughter.

I noticed that too. Maybe you must write topics that could get the attention of others.. like music, arts maybe.. Its just my opinion but I am not sure if thay is effective

Yeah maybe if I wrote about a wider variety of subjects it would attract different people

That is an unusual colors of butterfly... almost like having blue-colored stones or something... and I can't even describe the reddish part, except that it's unusual... I find new myLotters through the New User Discussions section... And I have a habit of reading through every single responses and comments in discussions I'm interested in - many times I'd check out any users I'm not familiar with while doing that...

Yeah I always notice your interest in a whole discussion because you like other responses and comments I really want someone to recognise the butterfly cos it was so unusual! The bits that look like a really pale sort of beige colour were actually gold, as in shiny golden, and the purple bits were a pale lilac
