Today (Oct 15th) is Dollar Tree's Associate Appreciation Day, and although it seems that the customers are the ones who benefit. When you take in the voucher (which can be printed from their website) and make a purchase of $10 or more, you'll get a 10% discount off of your total. What do you usually buy at Dollar Tree? For me, it's often a good place to get shower gel and snacks (like pretzels) and party decorations.

Their pretzels seem to be a good value. I get "car snacks" to keep in the back for whenever the kids start up with "I'm hungry..." Saves me from going to the drive-thru.

I found a couple of rolls of themed Christmas wrapping paper (Sesame Street and Minions) that will be good for some of the little kids' presents this year.

@spiderdust .....I don't use fabric softener. I like a certain brand of gel candies they have at local store.

@celticeagle We we're browsing through the candles, although I still have plenty. They had some coffee scented candles in Frappuccino style cups that we're awfully tempting., There were also some Krispy Kreme brand candles too, including some that smelled like the original glazed donuts and some that smelled like raspberry filled donuts.

I have not bought very much there lately. I usually buy books and a few household items at the Dollar Tree.

Yes! I'm a little confused as to why they called it Associate Appreciation Day, as it certainly created a lot more work for the associates.

@spiderdust We have stores that sell everything for 2 Swiss Francs, a little more than $2. Only little things, like gift bags, toiletry, kids stuff, nothing really interesting.

@LadyDuck That does sound a lot like our dollar stores in general. This one has a grocery area, including a refrigerated/freezer wall, but I rarely buy those items because they're often not very high quality.

That doesn't surprise me, as I don't think there are any outside of America. Do you have anything similar?

That was so confusing to me . I was like if it's called Associate day why do I not get to use the coupon lol

I didn't get it either! It seems like if you're rewarding your associates, you wouldn't create extra work for them like having lots of customers come in with a coupon. It still came in handy. I think I bought a dozen bags of pretzel sticks and those honey wheat twisted pretzels. And plenty of other stuff too, but I definitely remember the pretzels because we just finished them.

@thislittlepennyearns That's ok, I sometimes do the voice-to-text thing too. Whenever I see the Snyders multipacks of mini pretzels, I get those to keep in the back of the car. When one of the kids insists that he is starving, I grab one for him.

@spiderdust we had a lady come in because it was before Halloween and buy $700 worth of candy and she use that because she's a regular customer and she often by that much stuff she got to use for different coupons and do for different transactions at the 700 when was just one of them. But it did create a little bit of extra work for us because we can't scan those we have to do like 18 different codes to enter them into the computer. But hey we got cookies so wasn't the end of the world. I do really like that honey wheat Twisted pretzels though. And we buy all our little mustard onion pretzel bites at Dollar Tree to. Actually we buy a lot of stuff at Dollar Tree cuz I'm there every day LOL this comment because I'm doing it on my voice to text so if it doesn't make sense in some places that's why
