We are thankful for the kindness of strangers

Hubby has decided he needs to fix up the big shed, although he also wants a regular garage. I am glad to see him doing this. So, this afternoon we went to Wichita to a Lowe's store. For those who may not know it is a hardware/home improvement/lumberyard store. We had decided to start with seven 4x8 sheets of plywood. A man who was in store shopping for his own projects offered to help us load our big rolling cart. There are never enough people working anywhere to provide help. You must remember it has been less than six month's since Bob had a stroke and only about 9 days since he had heart catheterization. This is a lot of lifting. There was no reason for that stranger to help us, but he did. That is my thankful post for today. I will be kind of hit or miss tomorrow. Best to all of you.

Your husband should be more careful, it's too early to lift weights.

I think he is trying to sneak in some activity between the cardiac cath and the pacemaker.

@LadyDuck Actually the stranger and I loaded the wood. Bob held the cart still. You cannot tell him much.

That was really a nice gesture! I have been in places where I offered to help someone with putting their groceries in their car for them. One time it was pouring outside. I always carry a huge umbrella with me. I held my umbrella over our heads and helped load the car for this older lady. She was grateful to me. I was happy to do it.

I think -- at least I hope and pray -- that the news reports of the hatred has caused the majority of people to be nicer in reaction.

How kind of that guy to help. We seem to get more help from time to time. Perhaps we'll really starting to look older and in need of a bit of muscle from time to time.
