E-Bay Mystery Boxes

Okay, so today I stumbled into a youtube black hole know as Mystery Box videos. So, basically people are spending anywhere from $5 to $500 on a box of.....Well, actually they have no idea what is going to be in the box. They may get ACTUAL junk. They may get something worth more than they paid for (but that's not likely.) I've seen people get used makeup in this video. Fake toenails. Fake eyelashes. Lens cleaners. Video games. Clothes. Tons of random stuff. So, now I sort of want to order a couple of mystery boxes to record my own unboxing videos. And I sort of want to sell my own mystery boxes and see if anyone does an unboxing of my stuff. Have you ever ordered a "Mystery Box" from e-bay? If you did, did you get anything super fun or super creepy in it?

Usually I am shopping for SOMETHING. But the mystery aspect makes it sound appealing and fun.

I'm a little ashamed to admit I bought two. Very small and very cheap ones. I'm not the kind of person who is gonna give $50 for a box of junk, but just this one less than $9 for a pair seemed fair for a little fun.

This is not for me. I do not understand the logic behind these mystery boxes and why people purchase it. Anyway, it is their time and money so who am I to question them. Not my business.

I think people are hoping to find something in the mystery box worth more than what they paid for it. I'm pretty sure that never happens. I did buy a couple. Just for the fun of getting something COMPLETELY random.

@nonersays so what did you get and how much did you paid for it? I'm curious but it is fine if you decline to respond.

@allen0187 I just ordered them and haven't gotten them yet. I ordered one that was $5 and one that was $3 and some change (can't remember exactly.) I'll probably do my own "unboxing" video when I get them.

I would never order a "Mystery Box", I do not see why to waste my money on used stuff thrown in a box for someone who had no use for those things.

@nonersays I am not curious enough on this subject to spend $9.00.
