The Cat Made Me Laugh

When I got home I went straight or the dogs to let them walk me, I had already tossed a few cats treats to the cat on the deck so he would stay there, I did not want a dog chase cat show.
Harley picked up on the cats scent and was doing the snorting noises and little whimpers, I told him no that`s our purdy cat.
After I told the dogs it was time to eat and they walked to their chains ( yes they do!) I fed them and the cat seen they were back in the chains so he began to pace the rail meowing, I went inside and got his food and gave him a heaping pile.
I did a little more outside, petted the dogs down good one more time and the cat wanted more attention, pacing and meowing so I walked over and was scratching his back and behind his ears but he was getting stiffer and stiffer. i rubbed his head and he was about ready to run.
I said "what is wrong with my baby?" and the cat sniffed my hand and took off running. I had to just sit and laugh. He smelled the dogs on my hands and that smell offended him.
He would not let me pet him when he let me walk him, yes he is a jealous cat, and I walked him to his boat, he jumped inside and was happy. Yes the cat has claimed my boat.

If I were a cat, I would be offended by dog odor also.

@andriaperry I didn't think Pumpkin would, it was funny when we got frosting he was this little runt, flea infested, sick, cold in his eyes, we felt so bad for him. Put him on the ground and Pumpkin would sniff and jump back. For the longest time he was scared of the little thing. Now he cleans him and sleeps with him. Ohhh and Frosting is lots bigger and totally healthy now so now I'm glad we allowed Tessa to get him.

@andriaperry One would have to have both pets at the same time to find out. I have had cats and dogs as pets but never at the same time.

If I've touched other dogs, Kobe sniffs me and then he doesn't want my attention, after that. Yes, Kobe is offended if I've been around other dogs

Really. I have a friend that comes here and she has a cat and my cat smells her cat on her, but, sometimes still goes to her. When I come home and if I petted an animal she smells it on me.

Cats and dogs can be like oil and water, they just don't mix. I remember our cat and dog going to separate corners of the house growing up.

Oh yes, my cat is very offended anytime I come back from visiting my parents! He can smell their dogs and kittens all over me. He has to cover the smell with his own, which means he spends a good amount of time rubbing all over me.

Sounds funny, but you are right, cats are jealous.When my pet was still alive, she does not like me to call other cats. She never moved when I called her only when I cuddled her. I missed my cat killed by my neighbor. You got a very lovely and chubby cat there. I think your pet is more than 6 kilos.
