I want to make a quiche but I only have almond milk. I am thinking I need to get some regular milk or half and half.I am not sure how almond milk would taste in quiche and it is not very thick. Have you ever tried this?

If you have never tried it, how do you know you would not like it? I will tell you one thing..it is awesome in oatmeal.

@amadeo I like the sweetened almond milk..the unsweeted stuff just tastes nasty though. Not crazy about soy milk though..I might try some of the other alternative milks sometime.

I wouldn't think it would taste right in a quiche

I don't think it would either actually. I think the best bet is to get some regular dairy products.

@snowy22315 for sure. Do you ever get the fresh unpasteurized milk. So good for baking etc

Never tried it, but I see a lot of French recipes using almond milk for quiches, so it should work. These recipes are adding a plain yoghurt or ricotta, probably to thicken the milk.

Oh heck,,,now I bought some regular milk! However, I might put it in my coffee as well. Almond milk in coffee blows.

Almond milk is certainly not like regular milk, but who knows? it might actually turn out okay.

@snowy22315 In that case - experimentation would not be wise.
