I spent some of today reorganising my laptop and found this poem. I write lots of poetry but have never put it here. I know it is not Cbristmas, but I think this one could still pass any time of the year. This gift in empty hands I bring This gift in empty hands, I bring My room is cold though the blankets warm, In the night my feet have wandered long Was it a dream? That Stable drawn Warm and merry on a fading dawn? Memories sweet, an experience there Reality? Or a dream to share? I am torn, and long go back to where I Unwrapped my humble prayer My words received as if I Had brought some gentle lullaby Told to baby, Knew a King Was it a dream? or was it Him?
