The clocks go back tonight

The clocks go back tonight Here in the UK in just over an hours time, 2am, the clocks go back one hour to 1am. Back to being darker earlier than it already is. I'm not a fan of less daylight. The only good thing about putting the clocks back an hour is that it will be lighter in the morning for a short period of time. Does your country put the clocks back this weekend or maybe in next week or the one after?

Back in the 80s we had daylight saving time but I remember experiencing it only twice and was never done again in this country.

@kevin1877uk I think it works for whatever purpose it has over there that's why they don't stop doing that. But here, it simply doesn't work. It wasn't efficient.

We did the same during the night. I like to have more light in the morning, because we always go out early and lately it was dark until past 8 am. I do not care to have one hour less of light in the evening.

@kevin1877uk We went to Milan (Italy) to see my mother today. Coming back the sunset on the Alps was beautiful, not red but pure gold this evening.

The whole concept of having British Summer Time is pointless because we have the same amount of daylight whatever the clocks say.

I totally agree, Barry, it does seem pointless in doing it.

We went back one hour here in Italy too. That makes it lighter in the mornings but also colder too. Guess we can't have everything I don't see well in the dark (one of the reasonms I gave up driving three years ago) so unless I am with a friend I will be indoors for the next few months after 5 p.m.. Five more months and we put them forward again

@kevin1877uk Thank you but not to worry. I am used to it now and just make more use of the daylight hours

Yes we put the clock back also here in NYC. We turn out clocks back Next Saturday night around 2 am in the morning. I am not a fan of it getting darker earlier. It is very depressing.
