Old friends

I just got a FB message from a girl that I was friends with back in elementary school. She moved away at the beginning of grade seven. We never seen or talked to each other since then. I thought of her often over the years and I tried to find her on FB but I didn't know what her name would be now. We just chatted for a bit and we will do some more catching up this evening. I am so excited to reconnect with her. It really made my Monday brighter.

Oh, FB has been a great tool to be able to reunite with old friends! I've found many friends from elementary school to college - and various co-workers through the years. Hope you're having a blast catching up with your friend - it's pretty exciting reconnecting with friends that have been on your mind for so long!

@Happy2BeMe That's so neat! I don't have a chance to get together with friends, but it is good that we can at least know what's going on in our lives through FB.

Yes it is wonderful. I stayed connected with my high school friends that way and we get together every summer.

@JudyEv Yes it is. I have a few friends add me and I look at their picture and I have no idea who they are. Even after I find out I still look at them and don't recognize the person I use to know.

Oh that`s great! Yes most of the time I suddenly get some messages from long time friends and had a nice chat with them but some are not

@Happy2BeMe My grandfather picked her grandfather, and his wife and kids (her father and uncles) from the train station after they arrived in Canada after coming over from Belgium. We've got a lot of water under the bridge me and her.

A while back, I found two women on FB that I had gone to Jr High with in NJ. One is all about her son, the Broadway producer and her grand lifestyle and the other one used language that really disgusted me, so that was the end of our reunion. Hope yours works out well.

Sorry to hear that. This friend has been travelling the world spreading God's word. She is also an inspirational speaker. She was so shy back when I knew her.

That's awesome that you've reconnected! I've tried to reconnect with some of my childhood friends, but they're living their own lives and doing their own thing :(

Yes, I have. Still do as I'm not close with many I went to school with but have plenty on social media and we check in on each other a few times a year, just as good people.
