Your all purpose word..or whatcahmacallit..Thingamabob or whatisit?

What do you call something when you can't think of the name? I think I say whateveritis..but some people have different names for the unknown part..like thingamabob, doohickey, whatchamajigger etc.? Some of these names are pretty funny,,and much longer than the name of the thing you can't remember..

I've used these and a few others too. One you didn't mention that we use is 'dooverlackey'. Strange words, aren't they?
