The First Snow in Minneapolis

Minnesota. Just had to post this. I took a short nap around 3pm today getting ready for my night shift and I woke up to..this! Where the heck did this come from? I kind of like the first snow. Its kind of majestic looking, right? The temp is currently at 31 so I am sure in a few hours the roads will be horribly slick and icy. But for now it was just wet. When do you expect your first snow fall where you live? Have you gotten it yet?

OMG! Nooooooo! its 79 degrees here, I have the a/c on. That is why I do not live in the Northern US. thanks you but no thanks. Stay safe and warm.

Hahaha. Good point. I dont mind it when its in the 30s. But when it dips below zero it literally hurts tp be outside. Maybe one day Ill hit the lotto and retire to somewhere warm. Where do you live? Enjoy your ac! Lol

Oh hell to the NO. We don't usually get our first real snow until January. Maybe a light dusting in Dec but that would be unusual.

We haven't gotten it yet but it could happen anytime. So far the weather has been unusually mild though. Hoping we won't get any until the new year. Does look pretty though..in pictures only..lol

Two days ago, we had a light mist of snow for about 15 minutes, but nothing accumulated on the ground.

I had to laugh when I saw this picture. I was born and grew up in Minneapolis till I left for Israel in 1986. I hated the winters there. They were harsh and cold and long.

It is cool to see. Here in Minnesota though we may have snow anywhere from October into March or even April. It gets to be old for sure.

Wow, how nice! It is so warm here today, it is like Summer. Here in Georgia, we don't always get snow, but if if does snow, it will happen in January and February.

I love the first few snowfalls also. It always looks so strange when there are still leaves on the trees, as it looks in this case. No snow here just yet, too mild for that. Enjoy it.
