Unplanned, But, Awesome!

I was busy myLotting this morning, when a friend of mine phoned and asked "how about we go for cocktails?" Well, um, hadn't eaten lunch yet, but, hey, I thought to myself, why not? So, I said, "yep, let's go for cocktails! "
It is a hot sunny Saturday, we found a place close to the water and some fountains, ordered our cocktails and proceeded to chat our heads off as we caught up, (we hadn't seen each other for three months) .
Whenever we tried to make plans, something always happened. So as we were chatting today, we laughed and agreed, that sometimes no plans are the best plans! Just an impromptu visit is best!
Have you also found that sometimes it is just better to get together on the spur of the moment? Or do you prefer a planned get together? I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

I do love impromptu visits! They can be the most fun. But, a well planned get together can be fun too, especially when there is a group of people joining in on the fun. I have a baby shower that I am hosting next weekend for my son and his wife. We will be getting together with family and friends that we don't often see. Should be a fun time.

@bluesa the only downside is that we have to travel almost 45 minutes to get there.

@ElusiveButterfly , oh wow, that is quite a distance you need to travel then! It makes the baby shower extra special to ride all that way to get together with loved ones.

How wonderful for you and your friend to get out and to such a beautiful place! I mostly prefer planned outings, but the occasional unplanned outing is always fun, too. So happy for you! Remember that place, because I want to go there with you!!!! Those cocktails look amazing!

A liquid lunch oh my! Were all three of those yours in the bottom left photo Catherine? Your looking at some hangover, but in the meantime you should be feeling no pain

I like unplanned and spontaneous get-togethers! With no time to plan or think about it, you just go with the flow and have fun with it! I hope you had a really good time catching up with your friend! How were the drinks?

that would be nice, but in my case, i and my colleagues live in very distant places and each has her own family so, we just get to be together when we see each other in the hospital lobby before we get inside the wards.

@bluesa yes, when we meet at the hospital lobby before we enter the hospital wards, and when we go to school for case colloquiums or get our salaries.
