Christmas day is coming and I am so excited. Christmas and New Year Celebration is our yearly most awaiting moment, to go home on christmas day and New Year's Eve and celebrate it to the best we can. We are 7 siblings, 3 brother in-laws, 1 sister in-law, and 6 nieces and nephews- in short we are a big family. Part of our celebration is gift giving especially and the throwing of coins to attract luck for the coming year, my mother is the one who is doing the throwing and us to catch it and save it as our lucky coins and keep it in our wallets.. In the picture is exactly how we looks like during the throwing of coins How you celebrate Christmas and New Year?

I will do it on Christmas day. Every New years eve, in our compound, we put the foods in table and we ate together, including the chidlren, maybe I will do this again.

It must be beautiful to meet with all your siblings and other members of the family for this special celebration. We also will join our family.

Due to super busy situation of each of us, we obliged ourselves to go home and meet on that special event. Thats the only season where we can spend longer together because of long holidays

@cttolledo This is the case for many. I live in a different country than my family and Christmas is the occasion to meet.

That sounds like such a fun family gettogether! I have never heard of the throwing of the coins but it makes sense to me now!
